Spark Energy are proud to offer more competition and choice in the energy sector as a refreshing alternative to the Big 6 energy companies. It is our stated ambition to be the best at customer service and we’ll get there, with your help.

Today Spark Energy provide energy to over 70,000 customers across the UK. We focus on the busy, fast paced rental market and accept that sometimes we get things wrong.The purpose of this website is for customers to express their opinion which will help us improve. Based on the feedback we’ve received we’ve focused on three main areas: 1) being here when you need us; 2) making it easier to move and 3) having fair pricing and simple tariffs.

So what have we done?

  1. Being here when you need us:
    • Upgraded our telephone system
    • Increased our customer service team
    • Launched a free call-back service and Live Chat on our website
  2. Making it easier to move:
    • We work to guidelines set by the industry regulator and most customers leave without a hitch within the guidelines set
    • We’re working with letting agents to speed things up so that we’re providing the energy to your home when you move in – this makes it easier to switch if you want to
    • Improving our communications about moving to another supplier
  3. Have fair pricing and simple tariffs:
    • From October 2013 we’ve reduced rates for customers paying by cash, cheque or debit card and now offer prompt pay discounts for customers paying within 14 days
    • We’ve removed the £10 administration fee for cancelling Direct Debits
    • We’ve removed the £150 security deposit charge for customers without credit referencing

After listening to our customers we’re producing a Customer Charter next month to make sure we’re focusing on what matters most.
